Our vision
Improved mental, physical, and cognitive health outcomes
for older adults with mood and anxiety disorders
Mood disorders (including depression and bipolar disorder) and anxiety disorders together affect more than 10% of adults over age 60.
Adults in later life who suffer from mood and anxiety disorders have an increased risk of developing other health problems, such as dementia, frailty, and cardiovascular disease.
Our mission is to help our patients achieve remission from symptoms of their mood and anxiety disorders, in order to improve their mental, physical, and cognitive health in the long term.
The ALMANAC program strives to provide a holistic biopsychosocial model of psychiatric care that emphasizes the equal importance of biological systems, psychological well-being, and social environment to support healthy aging into later life.
